I moved here last year and fished the provo for the first time exactly one year ago tomorrow...caught a nice beautiful rainbow, about 17 or 18 & plump! As she swam off i knew this was going to be my favorite place to fish locally! I'm going out there tomorrow and sunday, looking to catch and release some nice fish. Gonna try out some rainbow warriors, sows and midges and hopefully have a nice couple days. Feel free to hit me up if you want to catch a ride or meet up and have a good old time!
I am hoping to meet up with some people who are real familiar with the lower and other sections to help me with my approach. Thanks!
Here are a couple little guys I caught.

The lower is fishing incredible now. The dry fly fishing is starting to pick up, but not super consistent. The nymphing on the other hand has been fantastic. I've had best success on baetis nymphs. Midges and sows have been good but baetis have been outfishing all else 2 to 1.

I have not gone to the lower for a year or so. It was always my fav for the bwo(less people their than the middle durring march.) any ways how is the access in the canyon? is all the construction done? and how is the parking? i heard their is not as many pull outs any more. If you were down their recently I thought i could use a first hand report thanks

Good to hear it's fishing incredibly! I kinda got stuck watching the kids today...so tomorrow I'm heading out early for sure. Thanks for the heads up on what was working for you. I'll be sure to rig up with some of them.
Let ya's know how it goes!

Dipped in after the tunnel...no luck. Went up to where the bridge goes over the river and had some decent success! Hiked a bit up river and that's where I got into them. Three nice brownies.
Good stuff.
