Dunno if it's true or not but yesterday I heard that since the DWR has gotten a new director there hasn't been a wiper planted in Utah. Can anyone confirm or disprove this? I sure don't want to be an alarmist but if it happens to be fact it is time to get alarmed I'd think.

Wiper have been stocked in Willard and will continue to be stocked there.
May-15-06 400,000 were stocked
July-20-06 199920 were stocked
July-1 07 150,000 were stocked
July-29-08 200,000 were stocked
Willard isn't stocking any Walleye any more.
This may be what you heard.

[size 4][font "Comic Sans MS"][#800000]Don’t know who the new director might be or when he was hired/promoted, but in 2008, wipers were planted as follows: July 29 – Newcastle received 7,000; July 29 – Willard Bay received 200,000. This same schedule has taken place since 2004 (except no Newcastle plantings in 2004). I expect the same plantings will take place this year s well.

I don't beleive walleyes have been stocked in willard for a while now. Walleyes tends to take care of itself there.
