As with any swim bait you can retrieve it slowly, fast or let it drop to the bottom and jerk it up and repeat. You have to let the fish tell you how they want it that day. Good luck with it, it didn't work well for me here in Ct.Some folks love them.

There are a couple people here in UT that use them with great success. Try posting this over on that board.[Wink]

Ok i used these before when they first came out. I haven't used them in years though, cause it seemed like they stopped working for me. However when i first started to use them they were a killer.

I never would just simply real them in. I always fished them like a jerk bait. I would jerk them as i reeled them in. Another way i fished them is to cast them out and let them sink till they hit bottom. Then give them a quick jerk till the hit bottom again. Do this the entire retrieve. Be careful though, they always take it on the fall. Hope this helps!

the banjo minnow does not really move the way I want it to do in the water.. I dont know even how to get the eyes out of the minnow and into the smaller minnows... I am highly upset with the banjo minnow and think its a rip off.. No way i can get my money back so, can anyone help me figure out how to use them??

O I know to let them sink and jerk it but that takes so long its not worth it LOL..

It may take a long time to retrieve them that way but it dies work really well. I looks like a dyeing minnow, which triggers the bass to bite.

All i can say is be patient. Good things come to those who wait.[Wink]

I have used them and caught bass on them, you need to rig them right and fish them right as well...
Swim them for about 5' to 10' then let it die and go to the bottom, I like to fish them with NO weight other then the hook, I like to nose hook so they flutter more..

A lot of fisherman try to fish them too fast and don't give them time to work...

i just bought $40 worth of banjo minnows from the banjo minnow store. i bought some hooks, cork screws, weedguards, o rings and a couple packs of the older style banjo minnow. i havent used them for a couple years cuz then they were expensive and i was scared of losing them and i ran out of what i just ordered above. i only used them a couple times but caught some really nice bass on them. now that i have a better job i'm stocking up on the banjo minnow parts. the banjo minnow works, i just bought a rod and reel just for the banjo minnow as well =)

What good is a lure or bait if you don't fish it???

Many people say they got a lure but don't use it cause it cost so much and they are afraid of losing it...

To me a lure is not worth having if you can't catch fish with it...

I tried them with the old version and did manage fish. But not with major success. I will say then sure know how to sell them. Even after trying them, i stop to watch there info merchal for a few minutes and they have me wanting to buy another. I guesse like they always say hook the fisherman not the fish.
