Most of the float trips on the taylor are for white water rafting as the water is narrow steep and fast. The guys I used always recommended just walk wading for the Taylor. The last take out for the Taylor is over a mile above the junction with the Gunnison.
Normally a Full days trip will start at Almont and go to the twin bridge take out or from the bridge near Garlic Mikes and go to the Neversink take out just above the reservoir.
I used to use Dragon Fly Anglers up in Crested Butte. Kevin Smith or Moose. But this is from a number of years ago. I understand Kevin still does some guiding there but not much and I don't know about Moose. We used Kevin a number of times.
There is a guy at Gene Taylors in Gunnison that seems to be well thought of. I will see if I can come up with his name. I only know his forum name on another forum.

Brian Bell is the other guy I was thinking about but I think it is one of the shops at Almont that he guides out of.
