[size 4]I just knew that I had caught my first "Peach Devil". [/size]
[size 4]But John was quick to point to the tail and inform me I had captured an Oscar. [/size]

Have any of you guys ever seen an Oscar this color before?[/size]

[size 4]This is what we were after....Red Devils. Look at the hump on his head. They get aggressive during spawning season.[/size]

Not really sure but that last one looks like some type of African Chiclid. Don't take my word for it though lol.

I have not seen an Oscar that color but most fish will absorb the color of their foods. Freshwater brine shrimp are loaded with pigments that will transform any predators in to their special color.

I have seen a few Large Mouth Bass that have been almost that color just from eating red crawdads during that season of the year.

Nice pics and yes, it is a nice Oscar. They are a blast on a flyrod.[cool]
