My girlfriend and I have kept a stray puppy from the pound, to keep it from being put down. The little bugger broke my Berkley Big Game rod. I'm not sure if I'll get another one, I may and I may not. Thought I'd share.

I would get a rod rack that keeps rods out of puppys reach before getting any more rods.
Sorry about the loss of you equipment. It is

to see a rod go like that. It is

der than going to a friends funeral.[:/]

I don't know why he didn't just chew on the reel or something. I have some backup reels, but not rods haha. We will eventually to keep her garage clean and organized, and her dad might even make one out of steel, but who knows. We're finding a home for the puppy, so it won't be there long. I get paid tuesday so I'll probably look at another pole then. it was only $20 and works fine for the catfishing in her pond. That's the only place I catfish anymore.
Oh yeah, there was a collapsed pole leaning against the wall, both pieces sitting side by side, and he goes for the 7' cat pole. goofy little bugger.

Puppies will not discriminate when going on the chew. I have lost some good flipper for my float tube that way myself. I can imagine that the fiberglass in the rod must be doing a number on the mouth or stomach of the puppy. ugggg[pirate]
