fished down river today just looking around and learning a little... bprice pointed me into a couple directions....thanks by the way...<br />1st stop i boated a nice one that would go about 15 pounds or better.(i included a picture)... it hammered it.... after that we got in the creeks and fished flats and points with traps...i brought my "C" game with me today... more like "no game"..... after missing or letting the first 5 or 6 fish pull off or jump off i finally boated a 4lber... then my friend let a good solid 5 or 6 lber pull off at the boat..... i pulled out a jig (no good reason why) and caught two. one is pictured below... it was hump back and missing one eye...it was very fat but short... we moved again and we caught a few most were just good solid keepers.... thats when i stuck another big one.... i had her on for about 10 cranks and she came up and shook and spit my trap back at me....heartbreaker... we both got to see her..... it was a toad... i almost puked.... oh well that happens sometimes...i was ready to go at that point but i stayed with it non the less..... we caught a couple more and i missed a couple more... did i say i sucked today... i finally caught another fish around 2 in the evening that weighed close to 4lb.. at that time i had to go... honeydo's... got to love em..... all in all, best 5 for the day was 16lbs maybe some change... should have been great day..... with a good sack in the mid 20lb range.. today's theme....
