Went up to the nuke plant today and like as in past reports the last couple of days the fishing was...terrible. No bites...no dinks...nothing. We were using cut up bream / chicken breast / wieners. I kept saying well, we're just waiting to catch a real big one to make up for the lack of fish. It wasn't long after that Deb hooked a "monster". She fought it for about 20 minutes and some good equipment and 50 lb. test line helped a lot getting it up from the bottom. I about broke a net handle trying to get it in and finally just wrapped my arms under the net and lifted it up and in the boat. My scales only go to 50 lbs. and I tried to find someone with some bigger scales but just one boat was up there at the time. A couple of guys "guessed" it might go 60-70. I dug around and found my old dial scales that go to 50 lbs. and it went past the 50 mark back over to 7lbs. I'll just put a guess at 57 lbs. then. She caught it on a lime jello wiener / chicken breast combo. We were out of red jello. Let me tell you...that fish was hungry. It spit out a fish over a foot long after I got it in the boat. I turned around and noticed it and asked...where did that come from ? Debbie said...it just spit it out ! That was about it for the fish today as we managed a couple more with one being about 13 lbs. For such a lousy day with quantity of fish the quality sure made up for it. Debbie is having a medical procedure tomorrow and will be out of "fishing" action for awhile so her big cat catch today really made her feel great. Here's a few pics.

Muskrat
