Wife and I fished the ABA couples TX today. Started out rainey but got better as the day went on, a little windy at times, but the wind turned the bite on. We stayed in CFP , caught a couple shorts, until about 11:00, then found some off a flat in the wind. Caught maybe 12 keepers and 4 shorts. Culling at noon.Bite slowed ,had a solid limit, nothing big, so we went to a ridge off the river. Jerkbaited up 2 one was 7.5lb. Ended up 17.5lb in third place behind a 21lb sack and a20lb. Did get mens big fish. A good day all in all for us. Used rattle baits, except for the 2 jerkbait fish.Water temps around 60, muddy in the park pretty clear on the river.
