OK... What is the story behind this EYE? Where and when was it caught etc.? Nice fish picture. But let's hear the story.

I found another picture. Slaya caught it last week end at Willard. Slow day but obviously well worh it. You got get it in front of them till the weather warms. Don't be afraid to drown a few woms as well. No eggs or sperm inside so makes me wonder how far along the spawn actually is.

Nice looking eye, thanks for sharing and welcome to the site. If I was going to guess, I'd say the spawn is over for that one[]. I know one of the guys caught one several weeks ago that was leaking sperm all over the place as he was trying to release it. Sounds like the spawn is over for some of the eyes at least, I'm sure there must be some that are still going at it[]. WH2

Thanks all. It was on the table in less than 2 hours. Eyes are the best tasting fish we have in Utah ecept for some smoked Koke's.... even they probably rate #2 compared to the delicasy of an early spring Eye..

Got one identical to that one Sunday......No eggs......they are postspawn .....the majority anyhow.

Is this pic the same fish as the 1st pic? The first looks bigger than 20. The one I had was 25" even and it looked similar to the first pic.
