well this was my cousin's last day here on guntersville before heading back up to north carolina so i had the intentions of putting him on a good fish......well, i did my part.... we started throwing plastics but no takers.... so i picked up the trap (alabama version) caught a 4lb 10 oz fish on the 3rd or 4th cast.... then it was on.... we fished the same area for about an hour and we probably caught 10 or 12 fish most of which were good solid 3 to 4lb fish. and one that was 5 and some change and nice 6lber which came on a spinnerbait....the only problem (which wasnt such a big deal for me) was that i caught all the good fish and he only managed two fish and one was a slick and one was 3 and change.... we then moved around a little and it got slow for a while with a small fish here and there.... around 4 this evening we got into another wad of them and i caught another fish that was around 4lb and let another one off that size..... he let off the best two fish he had on the hook all week... i tried to tell him that 8lb test and spinning real wasnt going to hack it and offered some heavier tackle but he refused.... (i bet he wont next time.)... today was probably my best personal 5 fish limit.. which i added up give or take a few ounces to be around 25lbs... by the end of the day i was culling 4lbers... it was nice to catch em like that, hope i dont have to wait another 28 years to get into em like that again.....he had a ball, we probably caught 70 fish in the two days he got to fish with most of them being in the 2lb range but we probably caught 10 or so 4lb or better... he said the lake surpassed his expectations by far.....oh and he caught a nice crappie on a trap too.... he said it was his pb
