Has anybody been fishing down in southern utah lately? Sand Hollow? Quail Creek? We are going down there in a few weeks and are just wondering the water Temp, and if the bass are getting ready to start spawning? Thanks for the help!! [cool]

I just got back from a work trip where I had my travel trailer at SH for two weeks. I only got out 4-5 times because of work and weather. The bass are not nesting yet. Black seemed to be the consensous color from most of the boats I talked too. I did okay with junebug as well. Slow presentation was key, they were barely hitting it, almost like nymphing for trout. If there were a few days of warm weather in a row I thing the bite would really pick up. There was a tourney there on Saturday and the tourney fisherman appeared to do a lot better then I did. A 7lb some odd ounces LM was brought in. On Saturday I did talk to some guys who were having some success with spinner baits. I didn't even try them as the bite was pretty slow. I did pick up a bass with a blue gill stuck in it's gills. It apparantly hit it pretty hard and was choking to death. After that I did throw some crank baits at them but couldn't get them to bite on that so stuck with plastics on a slow slow retrieve. In a few weeks you should do very well down there I would think

I think Skeeter and Predator just got back from there a few weeks ago and did well with cutters again.
