Decided to hit the river today, with the forcasted wind I thought I would fish the backside of Crow Creek to get out of the wind. Well I was out of the wind but the water looked more like creamed coffee. Did find some great green grass in some areas that should hold some fish after the spawn. Any way I fished different areas in the back side didnt come up with any fish.

The wind had the main body of the creek rolling. I ran over to another spot that had helped me in the past, there was noodles every were in the channel trying to dodge the noodles made it hard to run the channel in some spots. Decided to fish this one area and it was super shallow, every time the trolling motor ran it kicked up mud. I was throwing an XR50 in Rayburn Red most of the day and switched to a t-rigged lizard and connected with the first fish, about 2 lb. caught 4 more in this area about the same size. Never connected with any bigger fish and moved across the cove to another spot. Only fish that came out of there was a 7 inch slick. Crossed the creek to the cow field and found some more green grass growing.

Water temps varied 57-60 degrees Fished 1-7ft of water.
