WOW! That says it all. I am assuming it is okay to post this as I find it very informative.
If there is a problem, I can copy and paste the post.

Very good info. I see BFT was mentioned also. I actually learned a few things from there. Nice find.

[cool][#0000ff]That is a website put up by fellow BFTer IrishFloatTube...from Ireland. He contributes regularly on this forum and has done a great job of putting together his site. In PMs we have exchanged he indicates that his main purpose is to introduce float tubing to more people "across the big pond". [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Tubing and tooning are not nearly as popular in Europe as in the USA. Besides the disparity in incomes, there are also more restrictions on fishing and water use in many European countries. Plenty of water and plenty of fish, but it can be very costly to buy permits in order to gain access to much of the fishing.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I'm sure Norm will chime in when he sees that his efforts have been recognized.[/#0000ff]

Errr ..... Hi there ...

Thanks for the kind comments on the website.
It's a "work in progress" rather than a done thing.
So if you have any suggestions about how I can improve it, fill a gap, correct an error, whatever - feel free to drop me a PM.

[cool][#0000ff]I have not had a chance to disect it critically, but from the overview I have made, it looks well done.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]"Work in progress"? How well I know the feeling. I have been working on my book for over 30 years and am finally putting the pictures together with the "FINAL" edit. But, like any work on an evolving sport, it will never be completely done...on done completely.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]If I should find something worthy of mention, I will "drop you a line". But, you seem to be doing an exellent job on your own.[/#0000ff]

Thanks for a really good link. Good to see most everything I have learned over 30 years verified in print.

Hey TubeDude whenever you get that book done let me know i would love to purchase a copy of it, assuming it is about float tubing anyway lol.[Wink]

[cool][#0000ff]It will be ready for reading soon. I finally gave up on "paper publishing". With all the pics I am including, and a page count over 200 pages, it would cost a fortune to print the first copy. And, as I have been reminded by several potential publishers, there is a "limited" market.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]So, I am just putting it in PDF file form, and making it available for download...online...or for a few bucks I will send out a CD with the whole thing on a disc. I have never had any foolish notions about making a lot of money on it. But, I do feel I have a lot of info that would be helpful to tubers and tooners...newbies or experienced. Been doin' it over 50 years...one of the pioneers. Hopefully I can pass on a little bit of that.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]I will definitely post up the particulars when it is ready to roll.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Thanks for the interest.[/#0000ff]
