was this brown cought last fall..kind of looks like a spawning male,,

this trout was caught in the afternoon of the day I posted the picture. [cool]

the fish looked a little tore up on the fins kind of like a spawning fish didnt mean it ofensivly just observing..

Good obversevation,
that fish was one of a many thousands released in the southern michigan area this spring, and yes the larger ones such as this are retired breaders. [cool]
