I remember 6 or 7 years ago they put some Tigers in lamont, condie, and Johnson. i was wondering if they are still around or if they have been caught out. I dont think condie still has them if i remember right it was drained a few years back. I have never fished for them and i fish the preston area almost exclusivly and would like to give it a shot.

I seen a couple nice ones in Lamont a couple years back, but who knows with how low those Preston Lakes get in the summer if you know what I mean. My Dad and I fished Condie last year and he got broken off twice by something that he thought may have been a Muskie and that was before we even knew they were ever in there. Didnt see it, just the feel.

I have heard of some 10 lb bass caught in condie but the story is always bigger than the fish. So i have always taken that with a grain of salt

I think they were really Ligers- nevermind that was something else- there are still some TM's around Preston though a lot of the locals are overly pleased with them.

I wish they would plant something inTwin lakes that would eat water skiers . No just scare the hell out of them . Curt G.

I wish they would quit acknowledging that Twin Lakes exists until the Canal Co. decides to be humanoid.

I had reliable reports last year that there were fish in Condie in the 20+" keeper range, but most fish would die of old age before reaching that size d/t the short growing season there. I also heard that at that time there were still TM's in there. I know the canal company was debating emptying Condie last year but it sounded like we got rain toward the end of the season before they committed to it. Never heard if it happened or not.

I know someone that has a camper plot over on the far side of Lamont, and he fishes the water pretty heavily. He says there are some large tigers in there still. My wife and I were up there catching bluegill off his dock last June, and we did see what looked to be a likely musky erupting on a smaller fish. I would think you'd have a better chance of getting into one at Newton though, they're pretty common.

I caught and released a legitimate eight lb bass just before they drained it the last time. I was deciding whether to keep it or not when another float tuber said "you are going to release that hen aren't you." So I gave her one last look and let her go. They drained it the next year. Wish I had a picture or better yet a mount.

I have heard alot of ppl say to let the bass go in twin, condie and winder but the way i look at it is any given year the twin lake canal company can drain it and it will winter kill. I just have a very hard time, with waters were the f&g and the canal companies done do much conservation on there part.

I know Johnson definately has them whether or not they still are in there I dont know. 3 years ago ice fishing on there with a friend, his son, 11 at the time, hooked and landed a 6 pounder, yes through the ice, it was about 22" long but looked like a snake even thought it weighed that much. Other than that havent seen any.

There are so many "DINK" LMB in Johnson, Glendale and Twin that you should try and keep a few. I know there are limits on the size, but if there are so many small ones in there then they are going to eat all the damn food and the bigger ones wont grow any larger. Condie on the other hand is a "Quality" LMB Lake, you may go to Glendale and catch 50 bass a day and only one over 3 lb, and then go to Condie and only catch 15 bass, but all of them will be over 3 lb!!!
