I hit Daniel's yesterday and did pretty well, but nothing over 20". I even got my license checked. Its nice to see them patroling it a little more.

there was a post around the end of january that said they had given like 20+ tickets so it sounds like they are patroling it very heavy.

The guy was telling me that he was up to 39 for the year. Most of them were for people using bait, not for harvesting fish. I almost wish that they would let people start keeping some fish to thin them out a little bit. It seems like there are almost too many in there. Its getting harder to catch anything over 22". Although most every fish you catch will be between 16"-20". So I guess you can't really complain.

finding one over 20 is far and few in between. It's not from to many fish though. More people are fishing it and I've noticed when one is caught it becomes a keeper. People don't care about trophy waters anymore they just want to take the fish home. Personally I won't keep one that big I think they taste terrible.

Absolutely. Last year, that 24" that went on the charcoal tasted like crap and it wasn't the preparation, it just tasted like mud.
Give me a 12" high mountain trout any day.

I agree Poky, that little lake is just getting too pounded, but they can come back. Let the big ones go.

I prefer to smoke the bigger ones and cook the smaller ones.
