Ol' Spur invited me to take him fishing at the Riverpark today. Gosh, thanks for the invite Erik! emoLaugh Live bait was the choice of the day and Spur threw the net and gathered all of the shad we could use, including one golden shiner and a couple of unfamiliar minnow-type fish. The current and the catching were both quite slow, but a fun day was had. No concrete was hit, no one was hurt, no damage done, no equipment lost, no one got wet (well, except when Spur sat on the wet carpet for about 2 seconds - but it was long enough) emoUp
Good day!!<br /><br />We managed blue cats, channel cats, a very nice drum on ultralight, white bass, and spotted bass. A number of folks were working the faster current areas, so we stayed in the slack water and missed out on the smallmouth action today. Spur must have checked the weather forcast for July instead of April, because he had on very light clothes and the sun wasn&#39;t there much but the wind sure was! I expected it to be much more protected today, but the wind must have been exactly wrong and we couldn&#39;t get out of it.<br /><br />Here are rare pics from EricM&#39;s boat WITHOUT the regular tower in the background!
