Its been almost a year since this topic was covered in here so let's get it going again...

Where in Md do you guys cast at?

I am new to this forum so let me introduce myself.
My name is Brad and I am in Baltimore. Bass fishing is my thing! I have a few ponds that I fish here and in Harford county but also fish Dundee and Saltpeter creeks a lot. I also enjoy going out for the rock as well. Its trophy season now so its a long hike from where I launch to go to legal waters. So for now I am just sticking to the bass.
If anyone fishes these areas, let me know. We may be able to hook up and catch a few.

I'm new here, too, so instead of creating another thread, I'll ask the same thing. [Smile]

I'm looking for places around BWI Airport to fish. A friend recently got me into fly fishing, so I know about the streams and rivers in the area for trout. But I'm looking for ponds and small lakes that are, um, off the beaten path (i.e. not some state park where you run into 100 people) -- spin cast, fly cast, doesn't matter as long as there's fish! Mainly interested in "sport" fish -- bass, crappie, trout, etc -- and not bottom feeders. Ha ha! No boat, so good places from shore are a must.

I ride the MARC train for work and have seen some ponds just off the tracks north of Bowie State University. Has anybody ever tried those? I drove through there and the one road that I could find on campus has an "Authorized vehicles only" sign.

Plug these coordinates into Google Earth or some mapping site: 39° 1'35.29"N 76°45'13.09"W

There are also these ponds north of BWI that I found poking around Google Earth: 39°13'20.64"N 76°40'39.00"W

Yeah I don't get down that way too often so I could'nt really confirm anything. BUT, if you wanna head a little north, let me know. We can tear the bass up in some brackish waters hear in a few weeks! It is as state parks but everyone goes out on the points of the bigger water to catch cats and try to catch rock. I stay in the coves and go for the bass. Caught a few 5 pounders last few seasons, and a bunch close to that as well!
