New to site Lived in idaho my whole life. Hunted and fished for just about everything in the Northwest. Flyfished mainly when I lived in southern Idaho. Moved to Southwestern Idaho about 6 years ago. Didn't fish much the first 4 years, been learning the panfish, catfish thing the last two years. I have a little 14 foot boat with a 25 hp motor and fish about two or three days a week during the summer . I have summer off so I fish mainly during the week days. Fish mainly with my son, but he is very busy with his young family. hoping to maybe find some friends to fish with and tell fishing stories with. While I am hear will give a report on Brownlee. Fishing it April 18 with the kid, When the water hit 50 degrees, the bite was on. We C & R about 100 crappie, weren't quit big enough for me, Also got two 2lb bass that went back also.
A lot of my fishing is just C & R from my flyrodding day. Would really like to find some nice perch for eating, but have'nt found them yet. Hope to see you on the water Grizz

Welcome aboard. Good to see another Southwest angler on here.
I was at Brownlee the same weekend and it was definitely slow for bass. One of our guys caught a few crappie but they were small.
We're having a get together with some of us BFT members at Lake Lowell, Caldwell ramp, at 8 AM tomorrow. Just a meet and greet so we can put faces with the names on here. We would like to see you there.

Thanks guys! Bob what club are you in. I have a friend that fishes with Snake River Bassmaster or some name like that. I am just now getting back into bass fishing, I got some hogs when I was a kid. I grew -up in Hagerman and we had some ponds there that grew some 5lb and 6lb pound bass. I am slowly learning to fish around here, like using a jerk bait, and top water stuff. Grizz

I'm president of the Gem State Hookers Bass Club. We are a small club and keep are membership below 25 members. That way everybody gets know one another and make great long lasting friendships. At the moment our membership is at 8 members. We are trying to build it back up after a family decided to move on and we lost 6 members.
We use to fish Lower Salmon Falls Reservoir out of Hagerman until it turned into the dead sea in the late 90's. I hear it is making a comeback. We may have to try it again.
I've been fishing Lake Lowell this past week and it is slow. It seems fishing is slow all over right now. It must be the weather with its ups and downs. Once it levels off fishing should really improve.
If you want to go fishing sometime let me know. I'm retired and can go pretty much anytime. My email is in my profile.
