Them are some nice fish. What area of the lake did you catch the wiper, just trying figure out where the big boys might be hanging out.haven't caught one over 19" in the two times out.[Wink]

You have a good weekend to.

We were working the east dike...both fish were caught using a black/silver Wally-Diver with'n 5 minutes...I've attached a photo of the WD. We fished for roughly 3 hours.

Nice Wiper. Heck of a fight when they are that hefty.
Were you using your planer boards?

Hey Troll...Just using the right one and have yet to get a fish on it...all fish we've caught thus far from Willard have not been on the planers. But I'll keep using as we can troll 4 lines then. More lines in the water more opportunity for a fish. [Smile] [Smile]

Thanks for the info and the picture of the lure,I have caught quite a few fish on that lure myself, the blue back chrome works well to.and the gold and black trolled tight to the rocks has caught me many, many, many wipers as soon as the water warms up.[Wink]

We also tried those colors and it was the black/silver that produced yesterday...amazing different day one lure works another day then it's another lure color combination.

Yea,I hear you on that.I have noticed the same thing,The only lure that I have used out there that has caught me fish almost every time is the producer prism shad.I dont know what it is about that lure, the wobble, the rattle, the color? But have not found a lure that works as good as it does.To bad we can't get them anymore.

Thanks for the info.Good luck next time out and maybe I will see you on the water.

Producers are still made in Australia and can be found by searching popular on line auction. Some of the other tackle outfits have made a fair look alike but I am not catching wipers with them. The producer rules on the planer board lines.

Australia!!!! LOL! I would like to find some all mine have been beat to death,I got plenty of look a likes that don't work either[Wink] I really wonder what it is about that lure though.I should have bought allot more.when they where around, they really need a good clear coat on them though, but can't expect much from a 3.00 lure. Do you have any info on getting some in the states.

Hey where did yo get that measuring board? That would work great for my Wiper Tournament in June.

Well I purchased mine a couple years ago through Thorne Brothers...Here's a link to their website I looked for the bump board but they don't show them...may want to give them a call and see if they still carry them...they're called a 'bump board'.

[#ff0000][size 2]Sorry links with messages boards not allowed.

The bump board is from Dunwright Tackle Company and here's a link maybe you can purchase one from them or find out how if Thorne Brothers doesn't carry them anymore. A handy little thing to have and regularly used for Musky tournaments.

Here's Dunwrights link..
