I thought i'd give a quick report from Monday. Went to Lucky Peak for the first time this year. Caught two 16" kokes in the first 20 minutes. One at 25' and the other at 35'....after that we enjoyed the nice weather for a couple hours and fed a duck that was following the boat. We did get there kind of later in the morning, maybe around 9:30 as it was the first time out. We talked to one person who got no fish, and some guys that at least got one. I heard the fish are kind of scattered right now...

Welcome to the board. Thanks for the report, I'm sure the westsiders (who are now growing in numbers) will make good use of it.

Welcome the the site! We need more Boiseans. Thanks for the report. I am anxious to start fishing Lucky Peak, but drove up there Sunday, and talked to three trollers coming in and none had caught as much as one fish. Went up by Arrowrock Dam, and talked to a guy climbing up from bank fishing and he had two kokes--one 16"er and the other was an 18"er (measured). That is one good omen! By the way, I know your two friends well. Those mallards chased me all over that reservoir last summer, and became so frustrated with my not feeding them corn fast enough on one occasion, the female flew right in the boat!! Look forward to exchanging reports with you this coming season. Mike

Welcome aboard. Glad to see another SW angler on here.

Thanks for the report on Lucky Peak. I've had ducks and geese follow me around up there. It must be a pretty common experience.

I'm waiting for the water to warm up so I can catch some smallies up there.

Welcome and thanks for the report.

Just about a year ago I had a duck land on the bow of my boat, beggin for food! Why doesn't this every happen during duck season?

welcome & keep the Lucky Peak reports coming. I'm all about fishing close to home when I can!

I have never fished Luckt Peak much at all but I do want to try for the kokes this year. Sounds like the size of them is really good! That is really encourageing!

I went up to Lucky Peak last Sunday. Windy! We caught five Kok's and a trout. All 14-18". We had the most luck in the first big cove on the left after the damn. Nothing by the damn, nothing by Roby Creek. Plastic Squids and corn... Got busy in the later part of the day.

Hooked up on a trout that pulled HARD, but he got off quickly.

Overall, so-so after 7hrs on the water.

I actually haven't been to Anderson Ranch for a few years. My fishing was curtailed for a number of years because of school and work, and i'm getting back on the wagon.

About ducks. I try to kill them for a few months out of the year, so I only feel it's right to try and treat 'em good the rest of the year. I'm pretty sure they all have the fish and game regs, and know exactly when hunting season is over.
