Getting geared up for a trip to Yuba. Heard its good time of year for pike or perch activitiy. What should I fish with & general locations would be appreciated. We want to take the ole' man out & have a good time. Thanks

that depends on if ya got a boat or shoure bound.. a boat fish in the back bay's shalow by cover.. rapalas work good most the time for the pike.. small jig's and just chuncks of perch for the perch.. if your feeling lucky a bottom bouncer with worm or a yellow jig head tipped with worm for a walleye.. shoure bound walk and cast a lot.. or set on a point and put a minnow on one pole for a oike. and a chunck of perch on the other for some perch or a cat fish..

good luck.

this isnt from personal experience, but my friend is The Man when it comes to fishing. he uses BLUE X-Rap rapalas, the floating ones, not the sinking ones. throw up into the reeds. he says if you aint gettin snagged you ain't gonna catch a pike. as for perch no idea.

Good Luck, Tell me how you did
