Fished the east side for about one hour and nothing going on.
Pulled harnesses from the S.W. corner to the light pole on the N. side.. Never had a pick up till the corner by the light pole. Then the wipers wanted to play. Stuck 7 in about and 1 1/2 hours. Nothing big.
Had one good walleye bite and felt like a really heavy fish but no go. It came unbuttoned half way to the boat.
Kinda buggy but it's getting to be that time of year. Water temps were 57 when I left.
Did get to watch a hawk take a black headed Turn out of the air.
He really torpedod that bird. Feathers blew every where.

I know this has been mentioned before but I could not find it. Where is the light pole area? I think I am taking the boat to willard tomorrow, but I can never seem to catch anything from the boat. I would appriciate any help. Thanks!

It is about half way up the South dike.

The light pole is in the corner where the west dike makes the turn into the north dike.
Never saw a pole on the south dike [crazy]
If you don't want to give out info on a spot thats OK.....just don't post anything.
It's not right to give out false info.

Nice report, it heating up.

Another great report Crankem. A day walleye fishing (no matter your success) is still better than a day in the office! [
]
This weather has been crazy and a lake as shallow as Willard.....it seems like it really plays havoc with those fish. I'll bet if we get two to three stable days, the bite will explode.

Roger, I think Majja Matt just made a mistake with his directions. [crazy] I know he would not knowingly disseminate false info.
Matt, time to get a compass, pal! [sly]

I might have jumped the gun. And if i did .... I apoligize. But as I read the reply ... I could see some one wasting $2.00 a gallon gas looking for a ligh pole on the south side. Just trying to get the directions straight.
Didn't mean to ruffel any feathers [shocked]

Ya, no kiddin. If ya don't have a very big motor on your boat, and you don't have some good directions, you can waste all your gas, and the whole day looking for a spot and might never find it on that big casserole dish of a lake. [crazy] Good directions are always appreciated. If I hadn't lived around these mountains all my life I would need a compass too [:p].
