So with the rising streams is there any good way to target fish in all the muck running off the mountains. In my pretty limited experience I have never had much luck when the river or creek was not crystal clear. My favorite haunts are the little creeks in Davis County or the Weber river. I'm usually targeting trout with spinners or flies, but I'll use bait if it helps me out in murky water for sure.

i'm not familer whith your area but up in cache or box elder county i have done good with silver spinners for trout before. right after the rivers blow out, when its still high but a little green color i have massacured the channel cats sinking bait right to the bottom.[fishin]

Try a panther martian PMR5, that is a black body with yellow spots, gold blade, Size 5. It is about a 1/2 oz, but will work in the high water. Good luck.
target the calmer pockets..places were they wouldnt be when the watters normal can be real good when its high..thell still feed they just dont like so much current..[fishin]

from what i have heard about muddy water is. They see darker objects better. I like to throw black wooleys at them. I think they go by smell alot more in that dirty stuff also.

in high dirty watter i find them by logs and rocks and undercuts that are normally 6 inches deep ar shallower..these places would never hold a trout otherwise..live bait does work well in these conditions..oh there i go again mentioning live bait..ill spank myself latter..
