Oh we found another trout. Save it!!! I jest of course. But I do think this would look good on the end of my line, getting smashed by a pike of course.

[cool]Yeah, I saw that article too. That's a nice looking cutthroat, which I guess used to be thought extinct. It's the Colorado state fish. I'm all for saving them. I'd rather have them in the state waters than the June Sucker, but that's just me... I'm sure it won't cost a fraction of what it will to restore the stupid sucker...

Wow, that is wild. Pretty fish too. The greenback trout I catch are called that because, after all I've invested in boats, tackle, licenses, etc etc each trout I catch probably cost me a hundred greenbacks. Probably more. Oh well, do I care?

I haven't caught a pike before and i'm sure it's alot of fun, but if there are rare trout in certain watersheds they usually do well in streams that aren't conducive to pike because there just isn't the water or food. Now if the state would make it legal to fish small carp as bait for toothy critters I would second that. My favored bait would be Jordan river teeny crappy. That would be a sure killer if you could use them live at pineview. They aren't a nuisance fish, being the tasty morsels that they are, but they are sure an under-utilized sport fish around here. Alas my friend, we have the X-Rap. Tight lines and good fishing to you.
