I have fished Starvation 3 out of the last 6 days. I just thought I would say that the smallmouth fishing is helping out with the skunks. Since they turned off the water in the diversion inlet I have not been able to catch fish in the inlet itself. I did catch one decent male walleye on Tuesday afternoon, but it was on the main lake off a point. Two days later with a break in the early morning I was able to launch the drifter out into the main lake. Before the wicked wind picked up I was able to land two nice smallies. One off a jig and one off a shad rap. They were warmly welcomed to my net and released to grow up and make someone else happy not to have gone home with a skunk. The walleye still had signs of milting and the smallies looked like they were getting ready to spawn.

went out again today during the end of the storm, only fished for two hours between 1 and 3. Saw a few boats out. They all showed up at the same time at almost the same place. I think they were practicing. I diddnt see any fish landed except for the 20" walleye I caught and I am going to be dining on soon. It will be interesting to see the conditions on game day. The water is flowing again in the tunnel. doesnt look good for me in participating in the tournament though. I wish I could have found someone to partner up with, then I would have a better excuse for not being able to work @ 6:30 AM on Saturday morning May 9th. I still might have to come see what is goin on though and hopefully meed a couple BFTrs I will show pics when I am done fishing tomorrow.

I would love to join you but I will have my dogs with me.(not sure that would be a good idea. who knows?) But I might also have a drift boat as well just in case the weather will permit it. I will be in the knight hollow area. I would be willing to kennel the dogs and cruise around with you a bit. Are you fishing alone tomorrow? If thats the case I might consider other options and keep you company. If I dont hear back I will hopefully see you out there.
