[cool][#0000ff]Not much info coming in from Yuba so I sent an email to Jeff Rassmussen...manager of the State Park down there. Here is his response.[/#0000ff]

"Fishing has been slow for just about everyone this Spring. There have been a few 3-5 pound Rainbows and a few Pike caught. I have also heard of one or two Walleyes and Perch caught but still......very slow.

The water temperature is currently in the low 50's. Visibility is fairly low at about 2-3 feet. I know the fishing will pick up if the weather will just stay nice for a while. Last year, it was not until mid to late May that the fishing really picked up....especially for the pike. We even had a few really good days with Walleye fishing around Memorial Day Weekend. I think it will be about the same this year. The pike fishing should be better than ever.

Here is the information that I have concerning the Utah Wildlife Resources netting this spring to date:
**Lots of Northern Pike. A couple last week were in the 37-38 inch range
**The Yellow Perch are currently coming up to spawn. There are lots of good sized ones. Not very many small perch have been netted.
**Very few Walleyes have been netted. The ones that have are in the 15-20" range and look very healthy. They are planning to come back and do some more netting for Walleye as it may still be too early.

I hope that helps.

See you out there!

Jeff"

That report seems to confirm my greatest concern about the walleye at Yuba.

Thanks Pat, figured the water needs to warm up and clear up.

I have been in contact with some folks down there. I received this pic in an email a few days ago.
