Hit my local spot today and landed some good descent crappie. Was on the water by 7am this morning and had the river to myself. Had my pontoon ready for a second round, the water current right of the gates is moving really fast no problem getting down river now coming back up was really fun. Landed about 20-30 fish between 7am and 11am with only two to four that were worth taking home. Was able to score on one wittie, gill and my first Junie I think see pic. This is what keeps me coming back to this lake I never know what I’m going to hook. Nice day over all. Saw one guy fishing right of the gates and he had to really good kitties. Fished by the gates for a while with only one small white bass one more week and this place will be hopping with fish and people.

I think what you got there is a plain ol', cut em up and use em for bait, Utah Sucker. The June Suckers mouth is more in the middle of the face, not on the bottom like normal suckers. Still, that's cool to catch a sucker there. I have never seen one come out of there.

Your pretty tough to go back up that current there by the gates. I don't know if I have ever seen the gates so wide open as they are now, and the riverbank is showing it. Water is pretty high and fast moving (compared to normal).

I've been meaning to launch my h3 there.. but I change my mind when I see the flow and tell myself "That's a lot of kickin' "
Good on ya!
