5 of us launched at Mantua about 3:30 and fished till 5:00. Caught 9 largemouth between us all in the 14" range give or take an inch nothing under 12". All the bass looked great, the best I've seen yet. I've fished Mantua consistantly for the past 3 years and the average fish seem to get bigger every year. Last year me and my brother each pulled out a 6 pounder and I'm hoping this year will be better!

PS still trying to get the pics off my phone, I'll post them when I do. I might go out again tonight and then I'll bring a REAL camera!

Thanks for the report! I might be going there tomarrow.
Do you know what the water temp was and is the water still stained from the run off?

Water Temp was 56 degrees. Its still a little murky you can see down 5' or so. Luckily the weeds are low for a little while.

Thanks,

It sounds like the bluegill action should be picking up soon!

What were you using? Worms?

No worms. We used crankbaits.

Nice! I like Mantua with the kids. They can always catch some gills and the ocassional bass really excites them.
It's been a long time since I've caught a 5lb bass, that would be nice and It would swim again for sure,
