Made it back last night from another AWESOME trip down to Powell. Camped at Forgotten and hit just about every canyon from Moki north to Seven Mile. Caught and unbelievable amount of fish, but the quality of fish was a tad bit better last year, no complaints though. We caught Smallies, Largies, Crappie, Bluegill, Catfish, Walleye and between 13 of us only THREE Stripers........NOT a bad thing for us since we didnt target them at all!!! All in all another GREAT time with friends and family. Hope the pictures come out!!! Kochanut should be chiming in here shortly with his pictures along with some others!!!
P.S. Dont hate the Dazy Duke's, only a real man can sport them and catch tons of fish!!! [
][:p] And yes, that is my daughters Mickey Mouse pole!!!

Water Temps were anywhere from 64.8 to 71.2. Water clarity was crystal clear from Bullfrog all the way to Cedar Canyon. North of Cedar is where it got pretty stained. We did see some Bass on nests' still and some Crappie as well. Sight fishing was a little harder than I thought, but we did manage quite a few. 90% of my fish that I caught on the last day were in the shade and not in the sun!!!

Looks like you guys had a great time and caught lots of fish. I know someone will be upset to see the bass laying in the nets though. I like to eat'em as well, especially if you cook them up at the lake.

Yeah I know I am going to catch some "flack" from the Bass guys, but at least (for their sake) we didnt catch any monsters this year. We only kept the table bass this year!!! We had an AWESOME fish fry for lunch one day and everyone got to take home quite a few fish!!!

I didnt even bring any fish home with me this year since I thought I was deploying in a few weeks (guess not till July now)!!! Just imagine that first picture with the net full of fish and multiply that by 3 (4 boats) each day.....of keepers!!! Lots of filleting that is for sure!!! Maybe I should have held the net closer to the camera so the fish looked bigger hehehehe[:p][

I was expecting your "side" of the report since you fished in a different boat than Dad and I!!! You are usually NOT so short and sweat.....whats up? Maybe TubeDude will hook you/us up and resize your pictures so we can enjoy them a little better!!! Dont forget to bring your "A-Game" next weekend for the tourney!!!

im busy planning for a walk trip on tomorrow, sunday, and then the 14th. gotta get the fly rod hot again.
so here we go.
in my boat a friend of TS's and I's (if thats even a word) hit a few different canyons, ie. smith fork, knowles, cedar, moqi, and hansen. kevin was tossing a texas rigged worm and was slaying the bass. i finally had all my luck change and caught some dandy crappie and everything else, on a blue grub. we drank a ton of beers and found out TS cant walk across a log very well once you have a few more then 49 adult beverages in him. the warmest we found the water was in the very back of forgotten canyon at 73F. we got so far back that there is a no wake buoy up on the shore about 10 to 15 feet from the water. that was kind of odd. we fished every inch of brush and rock pile we came across. and always managed to catch something. my first fish was a whopper crappie of the trip. my big one was a dady carp of about 8 pounds i should have used for carp baseball, but oh well. aside from that, good times, good friends, good fishing.
