Went to Lost Creek Res yesterday. Encountered a delay because my normal turnoff to Croydon (just south of devils slide) was closed for road repairs. The problem was, there was so indication of this on the freeway. You had to exit to find out. We then had to get back on the freeway and take the road that enters the south end of Henifer and go the round about way to Croydon. Anyway, the water was 3 ft from spilling over the dam. The temperature ranged from 48 to 50 degrees. We graphed the water starting at the boat launch, then out to the main arm, then to the dam, and down the main arm on the far side. We saw very few fish, the ones we did notice were where the two arms joined, some by the spillway, and some on every hump we found. They were generally from 50 to 70 ft down. In water shallower than that, most were right on the bottom. We covered water down the main arm to the first bathroom and then quit, because although we were graphing quite a few fish there, the water was a deep chocolate. We only picked up 1 small cutt and rainbow for our efforts. The wind blue hard and it was cold. Maybe again in a couple of weeks???

Hope your next trip turns out a little better. Nothing like going fishing to find out your road is closed and now you have to take the long way.

That is a tough place to fish with the heavy runoff muddying up the water.
