ESPN2 continues its May outdoors coverage and will be highlighted this week by the sixth episode of the ESPN Outdoors Saltwater Series presented by TakeMeFishing.org. The telecast, which will feature the Don Gurgiolo Sailfish Classic, will air Sunday, May 10, at 8:30 a.m. ET. Host Jose Wejebe chronicles the season-ending Redbone Celebrity Tournament event and the culture of Islamorada, Florida.

A total of 15 teams were challenged on the final day of the competition, played out in December 2008, with dropping temperatures and changing wind directions. Team Caribsea landed 17 sailfish to capture the title during the two-day event. The tournament features teams of two anglers paired with an experienced local guide.

The Bassmasters will recap Kevin VanDam's 15th BASS victory on Saturday, May 9, at 9 a.m. on ESPN2. The Four-time Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Angler of the Year from Kalamazoo, Mich., picked apart Virginia's Smith Mountain Lake, to the tune of 61 pounds, 13 ounces, for a victory by more than 2 pounds at the Advance Auto Parts Blue Ridge Brawl. VanDam, who has accumulated nearly $3.5 million in BASS career earnings, executed a pattern focusing on smallmouth bass during the fourth stop of the 2009 Bassmaster Elite Series.

On Sunday at 7:30 a.m., Going Coastal host Byron Velvick travels to Pinas Bay, Panama, in search of roosterfish and amberjack. The Bassmaster Elite Series pro from Del Rio, Texas, uses a hand-carved wooden canoe relying upon local experts to assist him in catching both species.

A Day on the Lake, on Saturday at 8 a.m. on ESPN2, features Bassmaster Elite Series pro Edwin Evers of Talala, Okla. The four-time BASS winner has just one day to catch bass on a lake he has never fished and fishes various locations to find a productive pattern.

ESPN Outdoors continues to provide the best how-to outdoors programming featuring industry luminaries, experts, athletes and celebrities.
