Me and Colby got up to the lake early this morning and headed towards some main lake points. About 15 minutes into the trip, I pulled a nice 3.5-4lb spotted bass out of 15FT water... the fish was a good 20 inches long and that was just as long as my PB spot was that went 4.1lbs last September. May have been my PB today but never weighed it. Next cast as I was rigging up my line from the first catch (was thinking that I had big fish for the trip, but NO) Colby sets the hook on a "biggun", well, a "biggun" for Parksville emoBeer emoCool Took about 3 minutes to get that fish to surface coming out of 20-25FT water with 8lb florocarbon, as soon as the fish got to the boat I reached down and grabbed it hard... It was a LM that measured 22 inches and pushed a couple ounces over 6lbs. Best Ive seen come into my boat out of Parksville this year.
Had about 10lbs then out of 2 quick fish.
Fished the rest of the day slow and deep, and quick and shallow. Managed another 25-30 fish with atleast 20 of them keeping. Best five would've gone 16lbs easily... that is my best 5 fish limit coming from Parksville.
Great day, fished a long 12 hours, but had some really nice fish today.
Hope yall enjoy the pics. Also the water Temps ranged between 68 and 74F all day
