After Wanda's little test this AM, I had the afternoon off, and it was pretty, so I decided to go fishing and look for some crappie since the crappie tx is this coming weekend. I also checked on some shellcrackers and bluegills. I fished alone for about 2 hours, then I picked up Polo at his dock and took him and Freida fishing with me in the creek for awhile. All fish caught today was on a panfish assassin with 1/32 oz jigheads. While I was looking for crappie, I caught 11 and later Polo caught 1 for a total of 12 crappie. When I switched to bream, we caught 26 shellcrackers, 20 bluegills, 1 largemouth bass, and my little pet drum. All fish were released to get bigger. I did manage to catch an 11" redear sunfish (shellcracker) which I believe is a TARP. I will look it up, but I think the shellies have to be 11" long to get the award. A decent afternoon. Water was back down to summer level and I forgot to check the temp. emoSorry Lots of trash in Wolftever creek. Water chiggers and skiers out in force for a Thursday.
