Hit willard from 8 to noonish on friday the 8th. 3 foot waves till about 11oclock, 1 21" walleye at 11:30, time to depart at noon. fished from freeway bay west, along the west wall, past the light pole and 3/4 the way up the north wall. pulled cranks at various depths, turns, speeds and angles. i was hoping to catch the first of willards warm weather bite but it hadn't started yet. Gotta love willard in the spring, hit and miss.

[cool][#0000ff]If you are looking for excuses, we had a triple whammy going. Full moon, big cold front moved through during the night and the strong north breezes. Spoiled a few fishing trips...like our bank tanglin' crappie excursion.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]But, like always, it doesn't matter what the conditions are there will always be somebody who figures it out and hauls in a grundle of fish.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]The lake level is about at full max, so the fish should stabilize as far as depths go. Now we need a lot of warm days to put some more heat in the water and raise the fishy metabolism. As soon as they can take off their winter coats they will get more active.[/#0000ff]
