Well hit the water at 745 am jigged allthe way from the dam area from shallow to deep and no fish. Moved over to the rockpile nothing there either. Hit a few bays nada! Moved into the channel hit some points and the bays nothing again not even a nibble. Went to the island got no bites there either so decided to go even further south. We jigged as the wind blew us south and did that for a few hours and not even a bite.So we decided to at least rub the skunk smell off and put a worm on a bobber and catch carp for bait. Catchin was fast and furious for an hour straight so i got plenty of bait for catfish now. There were a lot of boats out there and italked to a few and they had the same success we had. Ithinkthe bite will be on in a few weeks after the water temps go up a little more and the fish move in shallow to feed. Maybe someone else will give a report with better sucess than we had.[Wink]

Freakin Yuba... I hate it but I will be back in a few weeks anyway. [crazy] That place gives me fits when the ice is not on it.

Yuba can be a great place to fish but the conditions have to be right. Probably a few more weeks of warm weather will do it.

I am taking the family down for mothers day tomorrow, any chance you saw what the water temp was today. I was going to fish but I am going to rethink. We want somewhere warm. Thanks

Water was 56 in the morning and warmed to 59 in the afternoon.

So did you make it to yuba sunday?

I did get there sunday, thanks for the info. It must have warmed up a little in afternoon. I say a 64 degree at the south end where it was shallow. I casted to the bank for a while but being It was Mothers day I did not fish for long. No bites but saw plenty on the sonar. We had a great day just floating around and being on the water.
