Finally got to get in on the crappie at Cj Strike. Fished the east end of the narrows along the bank. Water was 60+ and crappie were hanging out in 10' water there.

Andy was using a red/white tube jig casting to shore, I was using a micro jig on my fly rod with a float casting out from near the shore line.

Had a great day and even used my anchor. Our fish averaged between 8-10" Andy had 25 I had 22 that we kept we each released around a dozen.

May have seen "Idahoron" and his son from afar.

here's some pic's

Nice going IDPANFISH....I have been to CJ a couple of times myself and loaded up on the Crappie. I am headed to Brownlee nest Monday for a few days. I'll report when I get back.

Nice job. Crappie are awesome. I can't wait to get over to that side of the state in July to get some.

Michael, It is too bad we didn't get to say hi. We fished a little deeper than you did, like as deep as 20 to 30 feet at times.
My son had it figured out. When his FF beeped he would turn and send the jig down to the bottom. Then he would bring it up and bounce it. He didn't catch as many as I did but his were bigger. Ron
