Set out of Logan on Wednesday night after work and got to the lake at about 2am. Woke up early the next morning and fished the head of Bullfrog bay all morning. I had never been up there before and it looked promising on the map so we decided to check it out. It was a decent morning we boated about a dozen fat smallies, 1 channel, and a nice fat Largemouth that went 2.8 lbs. Put the boats back on the trailers at noon and went back to camp to eat lunch. Put back in at about 2 and it was windy. We fished the wind blown rocks on the south end and boated a dozen or so more smallies an two walleyes that made a delicious dinner. We spent about an hour trying to help some folks get unstuck after trying to launch from the muddy shore. No luck. Our second boat headed up lake to forgotten canyon but ended up sitting in Moki canyon waiting for the wind to die down. We both have small boats so are limited to where and when we go. Saturday we woke up to calm winds so decided to brave the channel and head up to Forgotten Canyon. The water was at least 20 feet up from last year and the crappie would not cooperate. We only bagged 3. The were real nice ones but only 3. We did get around 20 bronco bluegills, 1 more cat, 2 walleyes, and around two dozen smallies. Most were caught on jiggs tipped with a crawler. We also scratched out about a half dozen more smallies on various points in the channel on the way back in. At about 9:00 the trip really became worth it. While trolling Bullfrog Bay on the way back in we hooked a nice striper. Then another. Then another. We trolled the underwater humps on the south end that went from 50' to 12' of water and hooked 1 or 2 stripers on almost every pass. We fished till about 2am and caught around 30 stripers. We fished till we were all exhausted and our livewells were full (Did I mention it was a full moon). From 1-2 they were hittin everything we trolled. All the fish were fat and healthy, a change from the ones from last year. Saturday was our last day there and despite good intentions to fish hard we ended up swimming and jumping off some cliffs most of the day. We did land a 2lb 13oz Largemouth and a 3lb 6oz Smallie on a shad topwater but that was about it. It was a great weekend and we really couldn't have asked for better weather (maybe a little less wind) and from everyone we talked we did pretty good with the fish too. The worst part of it all was having to pack up and prepare for the inevitable trip back to reality and work on Monday. Oh well we are already planning our next trip. Hopefully it will be sooner rather than later. I only have a few pictures on my camera but hopefully tommorow I will have more to post.

I forgot to add that the water temp ranged anywhere from about 65 degrees in the main lake to 71 degrees in the channels.
