Saturday Jetcrafter, Lovemylavro and I made it out to CJ first thing in the morning with a couple friends/family for a day of fishing. We started out on the east end of the narrows, same spot that Idahopanfish looks to have hit on Sunday. First two casts and I land 2 crappie. Then it slowed for a while. We caught the periodic crappie for a while and lost a lot of my jigs (they liked the white jig w/ a silver blade and a pumpkin pepper grub). After a while we headed up the snake arm and got away from the bass tournament anglers. We landed some more crappie there then it died off for a while. around 1pm it picked up again and we landed 3 small bass with more crappie. Overall, a fairly slow day compared to the reports we've been hearing. Maybe it's d/t us being set up for bass, not the smaller fish. The water was about 56-59 degrees and calm. Had a light breeze most the time and plenty of sun. [cool]. Final count put is about 32-35 fish total and unknown # of keystones.

right on sounds like you guys had a good time. did you go out after bass or crappie

We went out after bass, but quickly realized crappie was the fish of the day and adjusted accordingly, which is to say we lowered our expectations to catch smaller but more numerous fish[Wink]
