Any info on L.P.? They seem to be on the move this time of year. If you know where they are concentrated--both depth and location--that would be helpful. I have a friend who wants to go before his upcoming operation, and I haven't had a chance to get up there yet. Thanks in advance. Mike

I went a couple weeks ago and trolled with a medium-sized 3 blade luhr Jensen and a small flatfish at the end of 3 foot leader. It appeared as if I was the only one catching anything however. I don't know that for sure. I caught a good-size pike minnow and a couple kokanee but nothing to make me want to go back.
One of my other friends went this past weekend and didn't do very well either. He normally finds the kokanee schools with his finder and then he said he keeps trolling over them because the schools tend to stay in the same area. I guess he likes going there when it is good, however he said that it was filling up and so fishing wasn't all that great. I honestly don't why a few more feet of water would matter all that much but he seems to think it does.
Well, I don't mean to be discouraging, maybe your buddy will do better....I don't know. If he goes after the kokanee make sure he has some snubbers they increase your landings by about 50% or so. I did it both ways and boy without them all I got was the leftover scales on the treble hooks.

Thanks for the post. No, I wouldn't even think about dragging pop gear without a snubber. I also am convinced that mono line produces more in the net, due to its forgiving stretch. Will let you know how we do. Mike
