I'm no expert, but in my experience it usually a couple of weeks. June should be fine fishing.

well we did very well, the whether was very warm but the water was still cold enough to fish from shore. we started of at the soldier creek side and began to cast with different spoons. my dad imediatly had one it was about 18" so we let it back. we ended up only using daredevil spoons in red and white. we bought the cheaper south bend lures which only cost about 4 bucks for a six pack.
we fished a few different coves and ended up with 3 keepers 26",23",24". we were using ultra light tackle and 4 lb line so the fights lasted about 10 minutes each, it was incredibly fun. i lost a cuple fish and one snaped my line. only the red and white lures worked i casted everything from jigs to rapalas but none gave me a bite. the fish will probably begin to move into deeper water soon, so if you want fast fishing from shore go now!!!
p.s. take red and white spoons, thanks for the info guys i guess i proved some of you wrong.

I could have told you about the daredevil spoons if i had seen your post. They also work great in scofield,huntington,e-lake basically anywhere there is trout. Tiger trout love them and the majorityof the time the bigger fish will hit your spoons.
