And by a bprice kind of day I mean lots of LITTLE fish, as opposed to a Spurhunter kind of day, which involves lots of LITTLE fish and a minimum of one disaster. emoBig emoBig
I picked up a bunch (can you say $$?) of large shiners and went on an expedition. I found blue cats and channel cats, a big black crappie (at 30 feet!), a few largemouth and spotted bass (small but fiesty), and oodles of really nice white bass in big schools, also about 30 feet deep. The only schooling fish that I found were the white bass, but they were up to 16" long!!!
The wind was a horror. Every time I drank a caffine-free diet coke (tastes pretty much the same as the river water) to where it was below half full, the wind would blow it over in the boat. I even had to squash my hat down hard just to keep it on. "Still" fishing was a relative term today, the temperature never did get all that nice, and the ride to the ramp saved me from needing a shower when I finally got back - totally soaked from the spray in the wind and heavy waves.
Thanks to the size of the little bprice bass and cats, I didn't have to waste pixels and could therefore bring you this "fishin' story" with no proof whatsoever emoBig emoBig
