So Im going to sierras in two days to do some
float tubing/fly fishing for trout.
I been there many times but never tubed or fly fish.
I know that Im not going to hammer them the first
time but just being up there is just great.I will
post some pictures when I come back.

Sounds like fun. That is something I would like to try. I have a buddy that goes up there a couple times a year.

I used to drive up to Mammoth to go snowboarding, but never drove up that way to fish. When I lived in NorCal, I'd drive to Tahoe 8+ times each winter to board, but couldn't bring myself to drive out there to fish the streams.

When you grow up in SoCal, trout in a stream are a big deal (as well as trout in beautiful mountain lakes).

yeah it is just super nice up there. Even if the fish
are not biding it is still great just to be there
and enjoy.
