I was there Friday afternoon and eve. Fishing was fair but the wind made it difficult and it was really blowing and did not let up much at sun down. Be aware that the lake is rising quickly and alot of the east side shorline is not there for the water is in the willows. No water was being allowed to come out of the dam so good luck for the fish survival just below the dam.

Welcome to the site FishFingers, thanks for posting your report. Were you fishing from shore or a boat? I'm not sure about Scofield but most lakes have a minimum about of water that is always being release at any given time. I'm not sure if it is a law or not but if they did not do this the stream would dry up and all the fish would die. WH2

I talked to a state water employee and he said that no water coming from the dam is done often during runoff. He said that they depend on the springs below the dam to put water in the river. I was fishing from the shore but will switch to boat when the bows stop spawning.
