Me and my buddy hit the lake at 5:30 PM on Friday May 15 The wind was blowing we decided to go to are usual spot we started catching some 4-6 lb fish and a few mud cats caught one speckled belly small channel. Wind still blowing just before sundown we moved into are second usual spot just 50 yards to the east. started catching more fish just not in the picture quality. We were using white bass not just the meat but the fins scales guts and meat just sliced them vertically through the whole body. My buddy was using the whole head, he caught one that was 29 inch and let it go without a pic I started to get no bites he caught a second that is the first pic you can see this fish dangled up his other pole went through the anchor rope he was a real beast. He caught another HAWG he was catching all the fish out the back of the boat. I said I want some of those big cats so we repositioned the boat caught a lot more and finally caught on for a pic. by 1:00 AM decided to try to find are way back through the reeds to the truck. Awesome night trip bugs were not bad. Still looking for those MONSTERS

Happy fishing

Nice. There are some monsters in that area. Sooner or later you'll get into them. The best night fishing should still be ahead.

They were some nice CATS we have a new rule of a minimum of 30 inches of cat to snap a photo. We will have to try a new spot I know the details of the 27 lb 12 oz that was caught on Saturday we fish close to where it was but not in the spot. I know the old relible spots have lots of cats, we have caught many but now its time to move up to the bigger ones.

I would suggest finding some reeds and fishing just out side of them use a bobber and a few feet of leader The cats should start to move to the more rocky spots. Sunday I did see a big cat catching some sun out to the island so mabey it will be soon. We didnt catch any out their but found some reeds and went shallow and caught 3 smaller ones

I'm impressed. Getting into some big cats is definitely on my to-do list for this year.
