Took 3 of my boys to the marina, tried to start the engine and nauda. Tried til the battery was almost dead and then remembered to pump the bilge. That did it and we were off. just as we were leaving the dock the minn kota motor we attached to troll with bounced off the mount and that was the last time I will see that motor again. Any way we headed to the ladders and trolled with the other motorguide front mount motor and we had a great time. We all caught fish and the boys, 21,23 and 27 had a great time. I was their first time at strawberry. They were in awe of the size of fish we were catching. I caught 2 -19" rainbows one right after another. Couldn't believe it myself. I have never caught a rainbow at strawberry. Were were using all pointers in various colors but the hot one was the brownie, my trustie lure. The fish were in 12 feet of water and it was choppy and cold. All in all it was another learning day on the water. I bought the boat 4 months ago and have had it wet a few times. Still learning what the limitations are of the boat.

We caught 7 cuts the largest was 22" and the 2 bows were 17" and all were fat fish.

Sounds like an interesting trip. Craig, starting an engine and pumping the bilge (especially right after launching the boat) seem unrelated. Please give more details.
