From what I am hearing down here in Utah, Brownlee has been real slow with the Smallmouths. Any current reports??

Spent a couple weeks up there the first part of May. Caught 1-16" largemouth and averaged about 5 small smallmouth a day. Biggest smallie may have been 15". It was cold, nasty, rainy, windy for the most part. The last few days I was there the weather got really nice and it was getting better for bass. Crappie were just starting to spawn and their size was averaging 9", but you could catch one on just about every cast.

I go back up Thursday for another week and with the weather getting hot I hope to do much better. I'll let you know when I get back.

We are headin up on Saturday until Thursday the 28th. Stayin at the Gateway in one of Lamars trailer rooms. We are in a gray deep-V Skeeter pulled by a Toyota Tundra with Utah fishing plates. If you see us come on over and lets talk fishing!! We will probably be fishing all three reservoirs to find the hot spot.

Cool, well keep an eye out. We usually get to the store around mid afternoon when its hot out. It's going to be a busy place this weekend, thats for sure. We may leave Wednesday to ensure we get a decent spot at Woodhead. I wouldn't be surprised if the campground is full Thursday.
When I was up there last week, several people next to us hit Oxbow and landed some nice 18" bass, but they said the water was moving. I see that Brownlee is almost full.

Any idea on how the fishing compares up higher around Spring vs. around the dam and Woodhead? Are there typically more smallies down lower?
