i finley got some time off working. and i wanted to hit fish lake.. so tommy and i loaded up the camper and boat and headed to fish lake.. we got there about 6:30 friday night.. the wind was realy getting with it so we did not even fish that night..
got up the next morning to find no wind at all so we headed out to try some trolling.. after talking to christopher30 the night before.. he was doing realy good on some nice mac's.. i hope he pop's on and shows some pic's.. tommy and i trolled most the day with only rainbows and splake to show for it..
sunday was about the same for us. i did have 3 realy nice hit's on a 6" A/C but they did not get a good hook in them.. again for us it was A rainbow and splake kind of day..
one of the guy that was with christopher30 hit a realy nice splake that was around 11lbs and another that went about 5lbs.. realy nice fish.. and i think christopher30 hit a nice brown as well that day..

all in all a nice trip i hope to get back soon! [sly]

sounds like a great trip and the fish look fat and healthy.I haven't fished fish lake since I was a kid and my grandparents had a cabin there.

Fuzzy, thanks for the ib profen it made my day alot more manageable. Nice meeting you as well sorry you couldn't find any of the big ones. They're hard to predict some days.

no problem my friend! i never leve home with out it.. well we cant catch big fish all the time. [crazy] sure would have been nice if tommy hooked into one tho.. oh well we will keep trying till we get them.. [sly]

Those are some nice looking rainbows. I am heading to fish lake this weekend. Would any of you gents care to give me a few pointers on how to fish for the Macs this time of year. I get the impression that trolling with plugs is the way to go. What area of the lake and how deep works best this time of year?

Hey i saw you guys we were the ones in the silver 16 footer with honda motor. We were loading into the blue GMC when you guys got out.
I caught 34 bows and splake for the day Good day for me

fish deep,fish shalow,troll fast,troll slow, use big lures, use downrigers,don't use downrigers,use copper wire hand lines,use big jig's,try drift jigging,dont forget the smelly stuff.. pray to the mac GOD's to apone you..[angelic] and if all that dont work mix it up a little.. [sly].

yeah i rember see ya-all out there too.. we cought about 50 bow's and splake jigging for about 2 hours off ogden point.. but that was just to feel better about not catching a big fish trolling that morrning..lol and i did have a big fish on the jig for about 2 min's before it spit the hook.. [:/]..
