I plan to camp and fish at Daniels this weekend. Friends say the fishing is real slow still. I hope the warmer weather will turn it on. Any ideas what flies or lures might work for me? It is nice to take the family camping even if the fishing is bad though. Thanks, Acey

Al , I would try any leech patern in olive green or black. I have done good years ago up by the trees on the north end using green or white marabu crappie jigs. Or trolling a frog colored flat fish or hammered brass triple teaser. Good luck[

I went last weekend and it was very slow. Got one hit in about 4 hours and I missed it. Weston was good though. Plenty of bass to keep you busy for a while.

Now that is what I am talking about!
I will be there, look for the Yellow Outlaw with the wiener dog barking at everything[

I've seen people use that indicator technique before. They are using is with chronomids? Do you mind going into a little more detail about how to fish that method? I never quite understood what they were doing.

Look up some of Flygoddesses old posts. She has explained the system a few times. You can also see something about it on her blog.

Thanks everyone for your ideas. But alas, I got skunked. We were camping with the kids and grandkids so I spent most of the time playing with them rather than fishing. We did take the boat out several times and trolled different flies, lures, and flatfish with no takers. Some people reported catching a few when I asked, but I never saw anyone really getting into them. I said Hi to Flygoddess as we crossed paths on the lake. How did you do? When we left Monday afternoon the rain had the west side road greasy slick. Thank heaven for 4 wheel drives to pull the trailers out. We had lots of fun, made some good memories, and had several good boat rides with the little ones.

You got that right, about the rain and MUD slick roads
It was slow, but I did well. Here are a few:
Oh and they were all released

Glad to see someone caught some fish there. Last time I went I didn't catch a thing. Only saw one caught the whole time. I've only been there a few times but last year I did awesome around the 4th of July.
